Yes this is me at the real No 10 Downing Street!

If you are not sure what this is it is where the UK Prime Minister lives and works, a bit like the White House, but smaller!

Why was I there, you ask…well…to bring cake to the corridors of power of course!

Myself and Miss Cakehead were creating a special gruesome afternoon tea for The Ministry of Stories, a charity which uses story-telling to inspire young people, teaching them confidence, self-respect and communication. The Ministry took over the state rooms to host a special cabinet meeting to celebrate their second year of providing volunteer led programmes aimed at boosting creativity and literacy.

To compliment the meeting, we laid out a deliciously monstrous tea party, which the children and the adults tucked into with relish! there were golden dragon’s teeth, A variety of severed ears, pixie, human child and goblin, Trolls toes, Pots of mud and worms, Witches toes. and arm pit hair…delicious!

I was very excited to travel up to Media City in Salford yesterday to appear on Blue Peter. I was helping Barney Harwood make some gruesome eyeballs and I also got to show off my toe and ear cookies. It was a fabulous experience and I am now proudly sporting a Blue Peter badge!

It’s that time of year again to be thinking about all the delicious goodies you need for Christmas. We like to create a gingerbread house as a centre piece every year and this year we opted for a traditional theme. You really can’t beat Santa for spreading that festive spirit.

Personalised gingerbread houses can be ordered for collection. Flat cookies can be posted

The cake was fantastic – thank you so much! It was stunning – everyone commented on how beautiful it was – and delicious.

Something nasty is afoot!

It is always a pleasure to work with the Creative director and cake curator Miss Cakehead, even when the subject matter is gruesome! So when she asked me to come up with some ‘goodies’ for her Eat Your Heart Out’ event I, of course, eagerly agreed. There will be an anatomically correct pop-up cake shop in St Bart’s Pathology Museum between the 26th-28th October.

I will be selling boxes of three toenail cookies, severed ears, blackened lung and cigarette cookies, red blood cell iced gems and, if I can squeeze it in, meringue bile!

On Friday I had a fantastic day. I spent the morning setting up a dessert table for the Kerrang! awards.

The afternoon couldn’t be more different. I spent it at Fortnum and Mason taking afternoon tea with Mary Berry. It was the launch of The Cake and Bake Show, and was very refined.

I am very excited to let you know that I shall be demonstrating my fondant painting techniques at The Cake and Bake Show.

It is going to be a really fabulous show with a new modern fun approach to caking and baking!
